Despite the regulations, research suggests only 45 percent of properties attended by fire services had smoke alarms and, of those, 31 percent were not working 🤯

@cfavic advises to press the test button of your smoke alarms monthly to ensure they emit a sound, using a vacuum cleaner brush to dust the alarm, and changing the battery at least once a year.

@cfavic also recommend that smoke alarms should be interconnected, so when any alarm activates, all smoke alarms will sound.

If you are wanting to upgrade your smoke alarms to a hardwired, interconnected system we can help you. #smokealarms #safety #homesafety #melbourneelectrician #morningtonpeninsula #renovation #didyouknow #cfa #cfavic
